Friends…

First of all, thank you for visiting my website. My name is Matt Blackburn, and I have been a long-time community volunteer on various boards.

At present I am director of both Westerly Creek Metro District (WCMD) and Park Creek Metro District (PCMD). Metro districts are quasi-municipal corporations formed for a specific purpose, like funding development. I am also the District 6 Delegate for the MCA homeowners’ association. District 6 includes Central Park West and Central Park North.

As an accountant and tax preparer I focus in particular on financial accounting and reporting. My goal is to help the organizations I serve to report back to their stakeholders the financial condition and results of operations, in a straightforward, transparent manner, with reliable, timely, accurate information.

I hope that I continue to earn the trust of friends and neighbors in Central Park (and votes!) and to work collaboratively with other community volunteers to conscientiously steward the resources and assets that we have all entrusted to our public entities, the Metro Districts, and MCA.
